Monday Mishmash and Bigger-Than-A-Shopping-Mall Giveaway

Happy Monday! My mishmash will be short because I'm participating in Sheri Larsen's big giveaway to celebrate her signing on with Paula Munier of Talcott Notch Literary.

  1. New schedule  I thought I'd have all the time in the world when my daughter started kindergarten, but I fill those 6 hours so quickly. I actually need more time.
  2. Full cover of Stalked by Death  If you didn't see the picture I posted on FB, here the full cover with Jodi holding Medusa's locket. My editor had the locket made for the cover. How awesome is that?

3. Bigger-Than-A-Shopping-Mall Giveaway  Sheri and her writer/blogger friends are celebrating with a huge giveaway!

The giveaway consists of:
  •  two separate Rafflecopters with multiple giveaways
  • and one grand prize Rafflecopter giveaway - to enter for the grand prize, you must enter either giveaway #1, #2, or both.
There's only one mandatory entry. Everything else is up to you!! I know Rafflecopters can be a pain, but it was the only way to organize such a huge giveaway. The giveaway is open until September 27th. WINNERS will be announced on September 28th. (Entrants may win more than one prize!)

  2. Never heard of a rafflecopter before. Will have a look. The new cover is very eyecatching. Is the locket for you? Enjoy your new routine - the week will go in no time.

This week, I'm finishing the final chapters of my first draft. I got stuck on one particular chapter so I'm writing the last chapter first, then going back. With any luck, the first draft will be finished by mid September.

    1. The original idea was to make a few lockets for a giveaway, but then we decided to use it on the cover. I hope we'll still have a few lockets made. I'd love one!

I'm with you on drafting. Two nights ago, I stopped and skipped ahead to the climax. I wrote the climax through the end of the book. It really helped. I have a clear ending point to work toward now. Good luck!

  3. Lovely cover - I till think you should try to pretend it's you - I have a couple of (young male) writers who think my cover is me!!!Funneee. Amazing where the time goes, isn't it! I bet you thought you'd be writing great sagas when A went to school!! Have a productive week. I'm on sorting out another bit of the Victorian novel - and it's on resisting me tooth and nail.

    1. My limited reading time has more to do with my writing and editing than my daughter's school. She doesn't get homework until next month, which is nice.

  18. Your editor actually had a locket made? As in metalsmithing and jewelry and all that? That is too cool. Have you seen it?

    1. Yes. She has a friend who makes jewelry, so together they made the locket for me. I haven't seen it in person yet. Only in pictures.
